The town council team
The town council is elected for a 6-year mandate on the basis of direct universal suffrage, by the inhabitants of the municipality. In Bourg-en-Bresse, it has 43 members. The town council in its deliberations rules on matters which fall within the scope of the municipality's jurisdiction.

Bearing the quality hallmark
The municipal services of Bourg-en-Bresse have been involved in a quality improvement approach since 2006 concerning the facilities and services available to the public. An initiative rewarded by the attainment of the AFAQ-Qualiville label in February 2007.
